Lolo Philadelphia Concert reviews
Musical Trifecta: Train, Script and DeGraw!
Saw Gavin DeGraw, The Script, and Lolo at PNC this week. Lolo always delivers a solid and crowd-pleasing show, although it was essentially identical to last year's show at Monmouth College. Ashley Monroe was great singing "Bruises" with Lolo and some of her songs. The Script sounded even better than their CDs, developing into a major act that I doubt will be opening for anyone in years to come. Gavin DeGraw's set was tight and sounded wonderful, especially when he did JT's Mirrors while wandering the audience. I feel they will be one of those few "must see" bands in the not-too-distant future, real successors to Ireland's U2. The only disappointment was that the last few times saw Lolo, they do not play more than 90 minutes, as they do so many things with the audience that the music doesn't get delivered. What a show!
